Today's witch is the ex Home Ec. teacher and inventor Kari Carr from New Leaf Designs. I overheard that she might be using some wool and cottons in her project today, I love that combo so go check it out!
http://www.newleafstitches.com/blog for Kari's blog, and remember to add your comments to be able to win some prizes.
I am so glad you are all liking the projects that we have been cooking up for you and want to thank you for your great comments. If you have been making some of the projects from the hop, we would love to see them. We have opened a Flickr group, just for the hop projects, so please post your photo's there. Here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/groups/2010falloweenhop/
Today's topic is TEXTURE. Now, what would any quilter do without textures, those tone on tone fabrics that provide just the right color and right amount of movement without a dominant pattern? They are essential when designing a fabric line. Textures are everywhere, even though we can't always feel them, the eye can see them. They are just as fun to photograph as colors, so I decided to give you a little more peek into my inspiration photo folders.
So do flower petals.
Tree bark is one of my favorite, this is cool (I obviously didn't take this photo in Minnesota!)
Then there was Devil's Tower....no words...just awe!
Yes, those are climbers!
