I would like to send my best Happy New year wishes to all of my readers and big thanks for sticking with me trough all of last year.
We are back from our wonderful vacation and I am trying to get back on track with work and regular routine, pushing through a bad cold. I had intended to blog from Iceland but realized when I was going to charge up the computer for my first post that we brought the wrong cord with us! Therefore I didn't have my computer the whole time and wasn't able to blog. It was really a blessing in disguise. I was also going to get some work done on my trip, but with no computer, I was able to totally cut my brain away from work and enjoy my free time to the fullest. It was great! We did a lot of eating, chatting, laughing, playing games, dancing, even more eating and when I thought I was totally full, I had some Icelandic candy!!! You probably don't have to guess what my New Years resolution was!!
I am going to break up the vacation posts into a few posts. I took about 300 photos, so there is lots to come.
First things first.....our 1st day in New York City
New York is quite magical right before Christmas...and very busy!! It was cold there but no snow. Our hotel was right on Times Square so that's where we started!
The kids loved the stairs and spent quite some time reading all of the signs and watching the videos all around them.
The boys found something they want to put in the basement, Barbie Foosball table!! Kind of cool....
The kids favorite movie is Home Alone, so a stop at the Plaza Hotel was a must!
From there we hopped on a horse carriage.
And took a ride through Central Park.
We had a great guide that was very knowledgeable. This was the highlight of the day for all of us, great way to see Central Park and get to know the city.
Especially when you get to feed and pet the horse afterwards!
