The craziness is always outrageous the last few days before we leave for quilt market...it is actually amazing how everything comes together at the end. Patterns show up from the printer just in time and yesterday we got ours!!
This pattern is Quilts For Olivia. It is a full color pattern in a letter sized booklet format that includes 4 projects. They are all made with my brand new fabric line that will be introduced in Houston, Olivia. I did a panel print for the first time and this pattern is all about working with the panel. They are really cool blocks that you can cut down to a 6-1/2" or 6" finished block. On the front it shows the square wall quilt and the lap quilt. The color is not very accurate in these pictures, I will give you some more close up shots when I get back from market.
On the back of the pattern you can see the bed size quilt that uses the panel and some 2-1/2" strips and then the table runner. These quilts are all really simple to make, the panel gives you the illusion of appliqué so they look much harder then they are.
The fabric line turned out great, it is really fresh and fun. I love the greens in it.
Here is the contact sheet, but like I said before, I will show you some more close ups when I get back from market.
The winners from the book posts are two:
Jeanette: "Oh my word! I so can't wait for Strip On. You have such talent! Every pattern is unique and beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing all the great patterns. It's going to be a toss up on which pattern to start first."
Christy: "The new book looks like lots of fun! I love the back cover quilt. I've been wondering what to make with my Authentic precuts! Thanks"
Please e-mail me your adress so I can send you a book when I get home next week firstname.lastname@example.org
We are leaving tomorrow morning and I am going to blog, Twitter and Facebook from the show on my new iPhone. I am a part of the Quilt Market Reporters on KPKM, a list of bloggers that will be posting updates from market!! How fun is that!! The one and only Pam Kitty Morning is the ring leader and how cute is this button that Monica made:
Tell me what you think of the new pattern and fabric and I will give away two patterns next week!!!
