Here are some more peaks into my new book:
This quilt is called Strippers on Wheels.....yeah...there is a reason for that. I designed this quilt for a special Bus Trip Shop hop that took place last weekend. Quilters hopped between 12 shops in 5 states and I am sure they had a blast. In each shop they collected 2 strips, so at the end of the hop they had enough strips to make the pattern. This quilt is made out of my Glow fabric line by Red Rooster fabrics which is available in stores now!!
The quilt on the bed is called Rocky Road. Congratulations to "Ruth B.", she came up with the name and I loved it for two reasons. The chains really symbolize a rocky road plus the colors I used in it can definitely remind you of Rocky Road Icecream! This quilt is really simple but fun and you only need one Jelly Roll plus dark and light yardage to make a Twin Size quilt. I used a new fabric line from Moda by Blackbird designs called Old Primrose Inn which will be available in stores soon.
The smaller quilt is called Criss Cross Applesauce and is made from 1-1/2" strips. I used some fabric from my stash, specifically from my fabric line Destiny to finish the top. The quilt shown is crib size and it would look great on a wall.
Milky Way is a great stashbuster. I pulled 46 strips out of my stash in greens, browns and orange for the top quilt to make a richly colored quilt for fall. Then I used really soft blues, greens and pinks for the lower quilt for a totally different look. If you really like scrappy quilts, this one is perfect for you.
I would love to hear what you think of the patterns, which ones you like best, what fabrics and colors would you use in the quilts and so on. Remember to comment to be entered in the drawing for a free book. Remember to comment on all the book preview posts to increase your chances to win.
PS. Ruth, send me your adress so I can send you a prize for coming up with such a great name for me.

I really like Milky Way. I would use different shades of blue for the background and white for the stars. I like all of the patterns so far and would like to make all of them. Thank you for the giveaway.

Love Strippers on Wheels, especially your border treatment. As I'm rather new to quilting, Milky Way really appeals to me. It doesn't look like the same pattern with your two different color choices.

Rocky Road--mmmmm!

It's really hard to pick a favorite - they are all wonderful quilts. The CrissCross Applesauce may be my favorite just because of the name!

Milky Way - because the fabrics I'd use would be autumn prints that I collected on a trip to Maine, where we saw the Milky Way in a whole "different light" than we see it down here in Texas!

I like milky way, it would be a fun quilt for my boy, especially if I put a Buzz Lightyear patch on there somewhere to find!

Criss cross applesauce...simply because of the name :)

Strippers on wheels would make a great retreat quilt, it looks super easy and who doesn't want to sew with precut strips!!!
This book is another winner on my list and I can't wait to get one. Win one or buy one I gotta have one.

Love, Love, LOVE, Milky Way. What a fun pattern. I can totally see using all my Christmas scraps for it. When does the book come out?

I like the criss Cross Applesauce pattern. It looks easy enough that I could make it into a queen size for my bed. Rocky road would be my second choice. That one would look great with 1930's fabrics.

I love your quilts, especially the Milky Way quilt! I love the strip quilts and just finished an 18 store shop hop where at each shop we collected two strips! Count me in, I would love to win and put those strips to good use--I have 36 just waiting!

Hi from Spain. I think Milky Way pattern looks great and "unique" maybe in bluish colors. But also Criss Cross Aplesauce sounds delicious maybe in some harvest colors (like pumpkin, greens, browns, etc)

Once again...love them all...but my favorite today is the Strippers on Wheels! I just love the whimsical look of it and think it would be great in fun, modern fabrics as well as more traditional florals!

Gudrun - Love seeing inside the book for more great looking quilts. Now I really am having a tough time trying to decide which quilt I like the best! The Rock Road sure does look like a lot of fun and would look great on a college dorm bed! Thanks again.

Rocky Road is aptly named and the colors are magnificent! This would be a perfect quilt for my husband as he just asked me to make him one - which about floored me! LOL

Great new book of patterns Gudrun! I would love to make Milky Way out of Rosalie Quinlan's new line that is called Grandmother's Flower Garden.
Strippers on Wheels would be great out of the Eva line.
