Happy belated Valentines Day

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines weekend. Mine was spent on gym bleachers watching my son and the couch watching the Olympics!! Great combo for a sport nut like me.

Here is a little sneak peek of what I have been working on lately. It´s a darling Valentine project that will be in my next book.  I rushed to finish it so I could put it on my table this weekend. Shhhhhh.....don´t tell anyone you saw this here.....it´s a secret until spring!!

We have gotten a lot of snow here in Minnesota lately. The snowblower has really come in handy. So while some family members have been doing a lot of this:

 

I have been getting a lot of designing and sewing done....I just finished working with these:

 

Yum yum!!! It's 12 Days of Christmas by Kate Spain. I can't show you yet what I made with it but it's gonna be in the book too.

And now this stack is waiting for me....calling my name....so I gotta hurry up and write some patterns so I can dig into it. I think the stack is saying...."Write Gudrun write.....!!!"

 
 
 
 

Block of the month

 

Fat Quarter shop has started their sign up for the 2010 Designer Mystery Block of the Month. As you might have seen if you checked it out, my name is among the 12 fabulous designers that designed a block for this years quilt. I was extra super excited to find out too that the block they are using to promote this great BOM is mine!! SSSHHHH....don't tell anyone.....but do tell me what you think of the block!! The fabric line they chose for this is really great and fits the quilt perfectly; 12 Days of Christmas by Kate Spain for Moda.

 

They start shipping out the blocks in June and then you get fabric and pattern for one block each month. There are limited spots available so I suggest you sign up right away.  I was so excited to see that among the 12 designers participating, there are many of my designer friends there like Heather, Carrie, Sandy and Sherri....so I had to sign up myself!! I don't know how long it has been since I signed up for a block of the month for my private purposes only!! I think this might be the first time! I am so excited about that. So come June, I will be sewing it right along with you. Now hop on over to the Fat Quarter shop and sign up so that you can sew with me, keep me in check and push me to actually finish this!!
