I have been a little under the weather the past couple of days so I have had time to really read through your comments from the blog hop. I just want to thank you all for your wonderful words. It does take some hard work from all of the designers to participate in a blog hop like this but it really makes it our pleasure when we get this kind of response and appreciation for what we do. Thank you!
I did promise an alternate appliqué for my Corn toss runner so here is a link to a sunflower and a poinsettia: Corn Toss Runner appliqué

My newest fabric line will be introduced at Fall Quilt Market in Houston in a couple of weeks. I showed you a preview of the quilt that I designed for it in the last post and got lots of questions about it.
The line has 17 sku´s and one of them is a panel print. You can see all the coordinates in the picture above and the panel is easily seen in the new pattern Flair Fiesta. The fabric line will not be available in stores until March 2011 so those of you that were eager to buy a kit are going to have to wait a while.
I have been having so much fun playing with this line in the past couple of weeks. All of the fabrics work really well together for a rich look but then you can definitely break it up into more organized color ways to make really striking quilts.
I have 3 new patterns coming out for Quilt Market which are at the printers right now. You have already seen Flair Fiesta but I will be showing you the others next week with a little give-away!
It is so fun for me to hear from you how interesting it is to read my blogs about Iceland and growing up there. That topic is always a big part of my lectures and chats as people have lots of questions. Many of you were familiar with the incredible Icelandic wool....as any knitter should be, and others told me that they have always wanted to go to Iceland.
Well......here is your chance! I am doing a tour with Sew Many Places next summer to Iceland. I will be escorting quilters to all of my favorite places in Iceland, whether they are tourist related or quilting related! We will be going in July, which is the best time to be in Iceland and there are still openings!
Here is the link to the fabulous 10 day itinerary so go check it out! Intriguing Iceland
Many have asked me where they can buy my books and patterns. My answer is always the same, your first stop should be your local quilt shop. If they don´t carry what you are looking for, ask if they would order it for you. We have to support our local shops. If you are unable to get to a quilt shop, do a web search to look for online shops or go to my Etsy store and see if the title is listed there.
Things are busy around the studio these days. We are leaving for Quilt Market in less than two weeks so you can imagine the rising stress levels. When I get back from market there is going to be some massive sewing going on because I have a book deadline coming up too!! Yes, I am writing my first book with a publisher. Can´t tell you much more than that right now but I will definitely show some sneak peeks once the sewing madness starts.
Talking about sewing madness....I will be the featured teacher at the Lake Beauty Quilt retreat in November. If you need to get some things done, retreat is the way to go! Check out the information on the retreat here: Lake Beauty Quilt Retreats
Have a great weekend!
